Mineral ceiling tiles donated to training centre café

Thanks to Nevill Long’s donation, the training centre’s new café is now open for business

Nevill Long offered the tiles, which have been manufactured by Armstrong Ceilings, in response to the training centre’s request for fire resistant ceiling tiles.

The Mezzanine DL 100 mineral tiles have been mounted on a metal grid from Armstrong and fitted in the café.

The café has been developed by Kingsbury Training Centre to provide work placements and employment for catering and hospitality students.

The training centre offers support for young people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and communities in north Birmingham.

It has been developed to encourage them to stay in education and progress onto employment through teaching them life and social skills.

The centre’s new café, which has been finished thanks to Nevill Long’s donation, is now open to the public as well as the centre’s student diners.
