Schueco is constantly working to develop its system façades into three-dimensional geometric building envelopes.
With its new Parametric Façade System, it is able to offer architects a higher level of design freedom.
Designed to make the bespoke mass production of free-foam façades affordable for all, the system allows architects to design geometrically complicated system solutions with a calculated cost.
The Parametric Façade System provides U-values of up to 0.5 W/m2K; offering a choice between opaque and transparent surface elements, it can provide effective thermal insulation.
With the ability to accommodate BIPV panels, which generate solar energy, it also allows for the creation of an eco-friendly and energy efficient solution.
Factors such as daylight optimisation, shading and guided views can be incorporated as active design features.
A closed digital process chain is central to Schueco’s Parametric solution. The continuous chain operates throughout the various stages of design, fabrication and planning.
As a result of this, interface problems that commonly occur are eliminated. The chain allows for the creation of a uniform data model.
A library of CAD façade modules can be combined and integrated into a parametric façade during the design phase.
This allows for the establishment of rules and connections between individual design elements.
These connections work to reduce detailing times: the use of SchüCAD Inventor can reduce the per-unit time from 24 hours to 8 minutes.
