Rusteel finish commended at interior contracting and shopfitting awards

Armourcoat’s Rusteel finish has been awarded the title of ‘Product of the Year’ at the 2015 National Association of Shopfitters Design Partnership Awards.

Developed to celebrate visionary collaboartion between interior design and innovative fit out contractors, the National Association of Shopfitters (NAS) Design Partnership Awards were held in London on 24th September.

The NAS prides itself on being the only trade association that exclusively represents the needs of the interior contracting and shopfitting sector.

Success for Rusteel finish

Armourcoat’s CEO, Guy Whitehead, accepted the award for ‘Product of the Year’ for his company’s Rusteel finish. The award was presented by the President of the Society of British & International Design (SBID), Vanessa Brady OBE.

Rusteel has been developed to offer an authentic rusted iron – or patina – effect. The finish creates an aged, weather-beaten, metal surface; it is created from a water-based paint with metal particles, which naturally tarnish when activated.

Once the desired effect is achieved, Armourcoat’s sealer coat can be used to protect the finish.
