GGF appoints new Director of Technical Affairs

The Glass and Glazing Federation has announced the appointment of Steve Rice as the company’s new Director of Technical Affairs.

As GGF Director of Glazing, Steve has been responsible for producing key technical dottiest and publications such as the GGF Glazing Manual

During the past 20 years, he has developed the growth of GGF Membership through the recruitment of glass manufacturing and processing companies, and has also formed many specialist technical groups.

Steve is also responsible for the development of the GGF’s technical consultancy services.

Giles Willson, GGF Managing Director, congratulated Steve by saying: “Leading the GGF’s technical department is both challenging and rewarding. We are very fortunate that Steve, with his vast industry experience and technical knowledge, takes over this responsible position” 

Steve described his appointment to Director of Technical Affairs as a “genuine honour.” 

He said: “The GGF Technical department is one of the Federation’s greatest assets and this is clearly evidenced by the high quality of our technical publications and how they are used as reference documents throughout the industry and in the wider construction sector. 

With our Members contribution and our dedicated technical teams, I aim to build on our position of strength and maintain our status as the industry’s leading technical authority.”

In addition to the new appointment, GGF’s technical department has recruited Stephen Lipscombe as its new Conciliation and Technical Officer.
