Sabretooth Trade Saw: new handsaw from C.K tools

New handsaw offers durability, comfort and enhanced cutting speed

  • 26 Oct 2015

Carl Kammerling’s C.K tools has extended its handsaw range to accommodate its new Sabretooth Trade Saw, which has been designed to provide a combination of durability, speed and comfort.

C.K tools has launched three Sabretooth Trade Saws to account for a range of applications: its Sabretooth Trade 840 Universal Saw is available in both 20” and 22” with 7 teeth per inch, whilst its 940 Fine Cut Saw – in 22” with 9 teeth per inch – has been included for those undertaking finer jobs.

Cutting speed

The Sabretooth Trade Saw has demonstrated its ability to provide 20% faster cutting than other British brands in independent testing, which was carried out by the Cutlery and Allied Trades Research Association (CATRA).

This is attributed to its triple ground ‘turbo cut’ teeth, which outperform the double ground teeth that are often found on handsaws.

Handsaw durability and comfort

To ensure its longevity, the handsaw has been designed with an SK5 alloy steel blade and induction hardened ‘stay sharp’ hardpoint teeth.

It also features a dual component, cushion grip handle, which has been added to guarantee the comfort of its users.

In addition to this, the handle works to enhance the accuracy and quality of the cut, whilst offering the convenience of 45° and 90° marking out angles.
