VELUX top-hung roof window

Top-hung roof window offers more natural light and fresh air

  • 17 Nov 2015

The VELUX top-hung roof window has been developed to maximise natural daylight whilst offering unobstructed views of the surrounding environment.

Operated with an elegant handle at the bottom, the window opens outwards for extra space and rotates 180° for easy cleaning from the inside.VELUX top-hung roof window

It is suitable for installation into roof pitches between 15° and 55°. For installations between 55° and 75° special springs are required.

An ideal choice for loft conversions, the top-hung roof window is available with two internal finish options.

The Lacquered Natural Pine finish has been developed using a high quality natural pine to complement traditional interiors. The finish also includes a protective triple coat lacquer to preserve the timber of the window.

Suitable for contemporary interiors and white ceilings, the White Polyurethane finish has no visible joins, ensuring a moisture resistant finish that requires less maintenance than lacquered natural pine.

ThermoTechnology

The top-hung roof window utilises VELUX ThermoTechnology to ensure a high standard of thermal performance, excellent energy efficiency and an airtight seal.

In addition, the window’s unique top control bar allows fresh, filtered air to enter the building without having to open the window.

Available in 6 glazing options, the VELUX top-hung roof window is available to view on the company’s dedicated website.
