Cable cleat manufacturer, Ellis Patents has extended its product development team with the appointment of mechanical design engineer, Stephen Walton.
As a mechanical design engineer with 15-years of experience, Stephen will work alongside technical director, Andy Booth and trainee design engineer, Harry Taylor, to develop new products for Ellis.
Beginning his career as a graduate engineer, Stephen has worked a number of roles at Forum Energy Technologies – previously known as Perry Slingsby Systems – in Kirbymoorside, North Yorkshire.
Before joining Ellis Patents, he was working as global tooling manager for a successful division of the company, which experienced a 100% growth within two years of his appointment.
“New product development has always been something we have been good at, but we want it to be something we excel at,” says Ellis Patents’ Managing Director, Richard Shaw, with regards to Stephen’s appointment.
Stephen is looking forward to developing Ellis’ ideas into market-leading products, with the aim of enhancing the company’s reputation.
