FAKRO conservation windows

Conservation-style roof windows from FAKRO

  • 19 Nov 2015

FAKRO offers the largest available range of conservation-style roof windows, with over 250 size and glazing options, routinely manufactured to bespoke requirements.

In conservation areas, planners are increasingly favouring low window positioning within the roofline – FAKRO’s choice of three installation depths and scope to fit either to rafters or battens is therefore a major benefit.

For slates in particular, installing roof windows in such a way provides a neat and unobtrusive appearance, and the facility to raise the installation depth is similarly effective for deeply profiled tiles.

For slates, an ELJ flashing is used with windows fitted 3cm lower than the standard installation depth.
