A series of single ply membranes have been specified for installation on several new Premier Inns, to help the hotel brand to reduce its carbon footprint.
Premier Inns is aiming to cut its carbon footprint by 26% before 2020, whilst simultaneously increasing its number of bedrooms.
To achieve this, Protan’s SE PVC single ply membranes are being fitted on the hotel chain’s new outlets. Offering low carbon features, the membranes have been selected to uphold and improve Premier Inns’ green credentials.
The new branches in Worcester, Exeter and Portsmouth have been fitted with the mechanically-fixed Protan SE 1.6mm membrane, for instance.
Protan SE PVC single ply membrane has achieved an A+ rated under the BRE Green Guide; the membranes have a lower production carbon footprint than aluminum.
It is produced under ISO14001 environmental management and is further assured under Environmental Product Declaration.
Protan is also an active participant in the European RoofCollect environmental organisation, which works to collect and recirculate materials.
