Impressive fire performance with Kooltherm K10 PLUS Soffit Board

Soffit boards boast impressive fire and thermal performance

  • 13 Jan 2016

Kingspan Insulation has relaunched its Kooltherm K10 PLUS Soffit Board, which features a non-combustible external facing for enhanced performance.

At 1.2×2.4 metres, the soffit boards have been developed for ceiling applications beneath a conditioned floor. They can be mechanically fixed to underground car parks ceilings to provide a Class 0 fire performance.

The boards have been designed with a high quality external facing to offer a pleasing aesthetic; this eliminates the need for the installation of a separate ceiling façade system.

Impressive fire and thermal performance

Their fibre-free insulation core holds a Class 0 fire rating; it is pre-bonded to the non-combustible outer layer.

The core boasts a thermal conductivity of 0.020 W/m·K, which allows the boards to achieve target U-values with minimal construction thickness.

It is manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero ODP and low Global Warming Potential at Kingspan Insulation’s facilities in Pembridge and Selby.
