In its latest video series, Mitsubishi Electric highlights how its Hybrid VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air conditioning system can eliminate the need for leak detection.
The company’s two-pipe City Multi Hybrid VRF air conditioning unit has been designed to operate without using refrigerant in occupied spaces.
The unit was developed to offer compliance with the newly enforced F-Gas legislation; it reflects an industry-wide move towards refrigerants with a low global warming potential.
According to the product’s Marketing Manager, Mark Grayston, the unit can offer the same levels of comfort associated with four-pipe fan coil technology, whilst “providing the all flexibility of traditional two-pipe VRF.”
Mitsubishi Electric has released several animations to explain how the air conditioning system works. The videos also reveal how Hybrid VRF can reduce the need for leak detection and help building operators to reach compliance with BS EN378 and other legislation.
