A series of Advanced’s MxPro 4 intelligent fire panels have been installed to protect Birmingham’s recently opened Harvey Nichols store.
Dubbed as an ‘industry leading’ multiprotocol fire solution, Advanced’s MxPro fire panel range offers two panel variations, four detector protocols and an open installer network.
The panels can be used in single loop, single panel format; alternatively, they can be configured into multi-loop 200 panel networks, which can cover vast areas and numerous field devices.
Receiving recognition for its flexibility and consistency, the range was specified for Britain’s newest Harvey Nichols store, which has opened in Birmingham’s Mailbox development.
Set across 45,000 square feet, the store comprises fashion, beauty and hospitality; it also offers a number of beauty treatment rooms.
Advanced’s fully integrated 4 loop MxPro 4 panel was installed to cover the entire store. The complete installation, which was carried out by Fire Bright Solutions, comprises over 550 components, including 88 sounder beacons, 123 heat and smoke detectors and an MX4010 repeater unit.
The panels can be programmed and monitored by the store’s technical staff.
MxPro 4 offers complete compliance with EN54 Parts 2 and 4; it is also supported by Advanced’s customer care and technical support. The system is backwards compatible with MxPro 5, the company’s analogue panel.
A rundown office and warehouse building completely transformed into a modern headquarters for Atlas Copco has been fitted with more than 120 internal fire doors from Enfield Speciality Doors.
