ASSA ABLOY Security Doors ensure its product deliveries arrive in prime condition, just as they left the factory.
All deliveries are safeguarded with pallet caps, so that its range of steel doors do not become damaged during transportation. The pallet cap is a yellow cardboard cone, which is attached firmly to all products.
If the cardboard cone is crushed or not attached to the pallet when a delivery arrives, this is an indication that steel doors may have become damaged during haulage and the quality of steel doors could be compromised.
The whole pallets are also shrink-wrapped to protect the doors against wet weather conditions during the loading and unloading process. The doors are also secured with a steel strap to keep them in place during transportation.
Polystyrene is also fitted around the doors’ corners to safeguard against damage.
Brian Sofley, ASSA ABLOY Security Doors’ managing director, commented: “We offer the UK’s leading ranges of proven security doors – Powershield steel doors and Safeguard timber doors.
We take great pride in providing high quality products, so want to ensure that the doorsets arrive to projects in pristine condition. The attention to detail that we give to ensure our deliveries arrive safely is unique to ASSA ABLOY Security Doors.”
Once the deliveries arrive, the doorsets are unloaded using forklifts. A timber framework surrounds the doors in order to prevent the forklifts from making direct contact with the products.
