Polyflor has extended its offering of downloadable Building Information Modelling (BIM) objects by launching Phase 3 of its collection.
The introduction of the company’s new BIM objects precedes the government’s April 2016 deadline: from this point onwards, contractors will be required to use Level 2 BIM when completing work on centrally acquired public sector projects.
Phase 3 of Polyflor’s BIM offering comprises its recently relaunched Polysafe Wood fx safety flooring collection, which features a number of new shades. The company’s new Affinity255 PUR range of 2mm gauge vinyl tiles has also been included.
In addition, Polysafe Apex safety flooring, which has been designed for installation in commercial kitchens, is available; it joins the company’s Standard XL homogenous sheet vinyl flooring and its Polyflor SD, Finesse SD and OHMega EC ranges, which have been developed to offer static control in pharmaceutical, healthcare and electronics manufacturing environments.
The company’s BIM library comprises over 30 flooring ranges. Each object is free to download from the RIBA National BIM Library and Polyflor’s own website; they are compatible for use with both IFC and Revit Architecture.
