Kallisto has invested in the latest technology to provide customers with bespoke concrete staircases tailored to suit the individual needs of all domestic and commercial requirements.
By manufacturing the staircases off-site, they are highly-cost effective and can be delivered with minimal disruption.
From the initial enquiry, through to design, manufacture and installation, Kallisto has extensive experience in designed spiral and helical stairs to fit both traditional and contemporary projects.
Kallisto works closely with architects, engineers and designers to achieve aesthetically pleasing pre-cast staircase installations, having previously been commissioned for staircase installations in some of the most prestigious venues across the UK.
Manufactured at its dedicated production facility in Essex, Kallisto stairs are designed and adapted using leading European technology to meet all design requirements at an affordable price. Each staircase is bespoke, with the rise, going and width customisable to suit an extensive range of project and applications.
In addition to the adaptability of the mould, the ability to manufacture the staircases off-site means that the staircases are highly-cost effective, as delivery can be planned to minimise disruption on site. The versatility of concrete stairs are resilient, solid and durable; and can be finished in any material to best suit the property, including wood, marble, stone and tile.
Aesthetics aside, concrete provides a fire-resistant means of escape, stops fire spreading between compartments and delays any structural collapse.
The range also provides thermal stability, which results in greater energy savings and produces a better indoor environment for occupants.
Kallisto staircases also offer a number of inherent benefits to the customer. Providing strength and reliability, concrete will not only withstand a heavy load and rotting, but will last for decades, providing considerable savings on potential repair and maintenance costs.
In addition to longevity, the concrete stairs also provide protection against water, meaning that flood damage will not occur on contact.
In compliance with Part E of the Building Regulations, concrete stairs also address the issue of sound transfer, which can often be associated with utilising other frameworks such as steel, timber and glass.
