  • 25 Jan 2016

Architects across the commercial and domestic constriction industries are specifying an increasing amount of glass in their designs.

Fire-resistant glazing play an important role in ensuring the safety of buildings and their occupants, and as such demand for glazing is growing.

In this Video of the Week, Steve Bond, customer and technical support manager for Fire Protection Glass at Pilkington UK talks us through the testing process for fire-resistant glass and explains what gives Pilkington Pyrostop the ability to withstand temperatures reaching 800 degrees celsius for up to 30 minutes.

Pilkington Pyrostop is just one of the products within the temperature range with fire-resistant properties. Other products have the ability to withstand temperatures as high as 1,100 degrees celsius for up to three hours.
