New Joyner Bolt developed for fixing and connecting timber

  • 1 Feb 2016

IronmongeryDirect has extended its product portfolio to include the Joyner Bolt, a spiked fixing product for connecting timber.

Developed by industry experts to meet the needs of the building chain, the Joyner Bolt has been designed to trounce the limitations of coach bolts, threaded rods and other traditional bolts and fixings.

The bolt contains eight integral spikes, which work to grip and hold the timber after installation. This guarantees that the joint will maintain a tight connection, even if it is inserted into a hole that has been drilled too large.

It also features a square head, which prevents it from pulling through the wood as the joint is tightened, ensuring that the timber face will remain undamaged.

The bolt can be fitted with one hand, making it suitable for tradespeople tasked with connecting timber in obscure areas, such as ceiling joints, rafters and floors.

It also offers compliance with all current Building Regulations.
