Armourcoat Surface Finishes’ Armuralia polished plaster finish has been specified for application in Mayfair’s new J&M Davidson boutique.
The store, which was created by Universal Design Studio in connection with Nicholas Chandor, has been erected inside a Grade II listed property on Mount Street.
To compliment the building’s deep red terracotta exterior, which is characteristic of the prestigious street, a tonality of soft pastels have been specified for the interior. Developed to reflect J&M Davidson’s image, the colour scheme features across the new store’s two floors.
The store also features a cantilevered staircase, which has been manufactured from terrazzo marble. With a leather-wrapped handle, the staircase has been set into a series of vertical panels, which have been finished in Armuralia polished plaster.
Made from aged lime putty and crushed Bianco Carrara marble, Armourcoat’s Armuralia polished plaster finish is a completely natural product; it encompasses almost no VOCs.
As a pre-mixed marble stucco paste, the plaster can be trowel applied to create smooth or finely textured finishes, which have been designed to resemble polished stone.
The polished plaster is available in 24 differed colours, shades and effects; bespoke variants can be engineered for custom applications.
