Polyflor’s Expona Design PUR vinyl tiles have been specified for installation in the café at Scunthorpe’s 20-21 Visual Arts Centre.
The 20-21 Visual Arts Centre is a prominent visitor attraction, which can be found inside a Grade II Listed former church in Scunthorpe’s town centre.
Managed by North Lincolnshire Council, the centre comprises five gallery spaces, showcasing a range of contemporary art, design and crafts. It also hosts a series of workshops for both adults and children.
Direct Carpets was contracted to contribute to the renovation of the centre’s café facility by installing Polyflor’s Expona Design PUR vinyl tiles.
Supplied in the company’s metallic and monochrome ‘Light Contour’ design, the tiles were specified to complement and enrich the centre’s contemporary interior.
Polyflor’s Expona Design PUR range has been developed to withstand the high traffic associated with heavy commercial environments, such as leisure centres and tourist attractions.
The tiles have been enhanced with Polyflor’s polyurethane reinforcement, PUR. Cross linked and UV cured, PUR has been designed to ensure that the tiles are easy to clean and maintain, making them particularly suitable for installation in a café environment.
The company also offers an in-house Design Service, allowing customers to create bespoke floorcoverings that feature their own artwork. The team utilises waterjet cutting technology to produce logos, motifs and designs.
Alternatively, the Expona Design range offers 28 existing designs.
