Monier launches self-welding HVAC pipe wrap

  • 22 Feb 2016

Monier Roofing Components has launched a universal cladding and jacketing material used to weatherproof HVAC pipes, ducting and all types of insulation.

Launched at UK Construction Expo, WRAPTEC is a self-welding HVAC pipe wrap which gives a watertight bond to withstand adverse weather conditions.

WRAPTEC is a cost-effective method of preventing corrosion under insulation (CUI) at the duct pipe; with no need for primer, adhesive, sealant or heat activation.

The pipe wrap can be stretched up to 50% in either direction without loss of functionality and cut by scissors, making it ideal for detailing and application over irregular surfaces.

The polyisobutylene rolls offer high resistance to UV and are available in 4 sizes, from 70 to 560mm.
