Geberit has began work on its new 22,500 square foot headquarters, following the acquisition of Twyford Bathrooms in 2015.
The new headquarters will be situated on the Tournament Fields business park, adjacent to the company’s current bespoke built offices, just off Junction 15 of the M40 motorway in Warwick.
The ground floor will house the Geberit and Twyford Training Academy, which will hold free workshops for customers to gain hands on experience with the latest plumbing and piping systems.
There will also feature a 400 square metre showroom featuring the latest bathroom designs and technology, whilst the second floor will act as a base for Geberit’s central operations.
The new facilities were designed by Warwick based Corstorphine Wright Architects and will see the creation of 30 new jobs across marketing, customer service, finance and technical support areas of the business.
Geberit held a ceremony to mark the beginning of construction in February, with the new headquarters due for completion in January 2017.
Geberit’s UK Manging Director Mark Larden commented: “The building work on the new Geberit and Twyford headquarters marks an exciting and important milestone for the new business,
As a centrally based location it makes good sense to choose the existing Geberit site in Warwick for the development. Doing so means we are able to remain accessible to our customer base, with good transport links close by and with excellent facilities that will future proof the company and support our significant growth plans in the UK.“
