Offering complete concealment, Samuel Heath’s Powermatic controlled door closers can be specified to create safer, more hygienic environments for healthcare projects.
Available in both standard and free swing models, Powermatics have been developed for installation on doors within commercial healthcare buildings.
However, the closers are being adopted for an increasing number of general applications, thanks to their provision of durability, fire performance and accessibility.
Powermatics are concealed mounted, meaning that they cannot be seen when the door is closed. This delivers a wealth of benefits in hygiene, safety and aesthetics, making them particularly suitable for installation in hospitals.
Powermatics’ concealed mounting decreases the amount of surface on display, subsequently reducing the amount of space where dust and detritus can gather. Whilst encouraging cleanliness and hygiene, this also reduces maintenance.
Total concealment also means that, when the door is closed, the closer presents minimal risk to patients, workers and clients. Powermatics are habitually used in areas where anti-ligature measures need to be taken, such as secure units and psychiatric facilities.
In addition to this, concealment offers little opportunity for vandalism; it is, thus, less likely for damage to be caused to the closers’ mechanisms.
