CLIQ electromechanical locks specified to protect engineering suite

  • 18 Mar 2016

As part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, ASSA has been entrusted with the security of Loughborough University’s engineering suite; its CLIQ electromechanical locks have been specified to protect the suite.

With miles of gas piping, data communications and electrical cabling, Loughborough University’s campus necessitates an attentive engineering team to provide day-to-day maintenance and guarantee that the requirements of the university are being met.

The site’s engineering suite boasts the largest master key system on site; it required a high security solution that would allow for the convenient management and administration of keys and cylinders.

ASSA’s CLIQ Remote system was specified as a solution.

CLIQ electromechanical locks

Developed to provide a secure electromechanical locking system for projects with restrictive budgets, the CLIQ Remote system allows those with the necessary authority to access private areas, without causing an inconvenience to others.

With the ability to create time defined user keys, the system is ideal for use by maintenance workers and contractors, who may need to access the engineering suite outside of conventional working hours.

CLIQ also provides an overview of what happens inside the lock system, via an audit trail archive. It features a strong patent that works to protect keys from being illegally copied during the time that it is valid
