CMS Window Systems, window and door designer, manufacturer and installer, demonstrated its commitment to creating affordable, sustainable, energy-efficient homes across the UK with its support at the annual APSE Building, Housing and Renewables Seminar held at the Dunblane Hydro.
The event attracted industry professionals from public and local authority sector working in building maintenance, housing services, renewables and energy efficiency.
Seminar focused on challenges presented by Scottish Government’s commitment to provide affordable homes for all by 2020.
Seminar attendees had the opportunity to speak to CMS delegates about the current issues facing building and fenestration professionals in the fields of sustainability, social responsibility and cost savings.
The seminar was followed by APSE Scotland’s annual dinner, sponsored by CMS, which played host to APSE Scotland’s Building and Housing Apprentice of the Year 2016 award ceremony.
CMS also sponsored the ‘Non-Trade’ category of the award. The winner (see image above), was Donna Smith, judged to have shown outstanding dedication and prowess in her Quantity Surveying apprenticeship at Fife Council.
Andy Kerr, Managing Director at CMS Window Systems commented: “The work APSE does is truly invaluable for those striving to innovate and improve building and housing services in the public sector.
It was a great pleasure to contribute our services in the event and to see first-hand the wealth of knowledge and expertise APSE’s members have. We were also delighted to sponsor the non-trade Apprentice of the Year award. It was an honour to reward Donna’s hard work and commitment to her apprenticeship”.
