After meeting the aesthetic requirements of a design brief for a new care home, a number of glazing systems from Senior Architectural Systems’ Hybrid range have been specified for installation.
The new care home, Lydia Eva Court, is based in Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth. It has been designed to enable dementia patients to live as autonomously and self-sufficiently as possible, for as long as possible.
The design of the project has been influenced by recent research, which has revealed the importance of light and space in care environments.
Glazing from Senior’s Hybrid range
The care home has benefited from a comprehensive glazing solution, which features Senior’s slim Hybrid Series 2 windows, its SD doors and its Hybrid Series 3 curtain wall system.
Comprising an internal timber composite and an aluminium exterior for exceptional weather performance, the curtain walling system is complemented by Senior’s Hybrid Series 1 windows. The range benefits from the durability of aluminium, and the environmental credentials of timber.
The glazing, which was fabricated and installed by Ali Systems, has helped to increase the flow of light into the care home’s interior.
