Rooftop terrace protected with Sadolin Classic

Rooftop meeting area protected with Sadolin Classic woodstain

  • 20 Apr 2016

Crown Paints’ Sadolin Classic woodstain has been used in the restoration of a community hub and meeting place in Digbeth, Birmingham.

The elevated terrace is located on the rooftop of a multi-storey carpark, leaving it exposed to varying weather conditions. Optima Community Association, part of the WM Housing Group, contact the Crown Paints Specification Services team who specified Sadolin Classic to preserve and protect the area.

Sadolin Classic is a versatile woodstain developed for decking, cladding and fencing. The product is absorbed deep into the timber to provide protection from the elements.

Paul Bowkett, Surveyor at Optima Community Association, oversaw the project, which was carried out by Novus Property Solutions. He commented:

“We’re more than happy with the product and the fact that the decking will be protected for a longer period of time. The invaluable knowledge we’ve received from Crown Paints has also been a major benefit.”
