Axpoly engineered polymers to be presented at PDM Event

  • 27 Apr 2016

Axion Polymers will be returning to 2016’s PDM Event to showcase its range of Axpoly recycled engineering polymers, which are suitable for custom injection moulding.

Axypoly polymers are conceived from a recycling process for end-of-life vehicles and WEEE materials. All grades can be traced from the end user polymer grade, back to the source material’s origin.

The range includes a multitude of products: recovered from automotive feedstocks, Axpoly HIPS52 1009 has been designed for use in a variety of applications, whilst Axpoly ABS52 1000 is suitable for end-user applications, such as components for motor vehicles.

Meanwhile, Axpoly PS01 3000 is a white polystyrene, derived from fridge feedstocks. It can be colour-matched, and is suitable for injection moulding.

Axion exercises control over the entire Axpoly manufacturing process, ensuring the production of a consistent polymer supply. Because the cost of incoming raw material is not linked to oil markets, the company is able to offer stable prices.

All Axpoly grades are manufactured to strict quality standards, ensuring RoHS and REACH compliance.

Axpoly engineered polymers at PDM

Axion will be showcasing its Axyploy range at the upcoming PDM Event. Its stand will feature the HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene), ABS, polypropylene (PP) and polystyrene (PS) grades, all of which can be customised to meet the demands of varying application requirements.

Its staff will be on hand to offer an insight into Axypoly and explain the various polymer customisation options available.

Axion Polymers’ Director, Keith Freegard, will also be speaking at the show’s PRE Conference. He will be discussing how the industry can overcome the difficulty of keeping plastics recovery facilities viable and sustainable in today’s economy.

Issues with output and sales will also be debated.
