Vinyl tile flooring from Polyflor has been used to refresh JOL’s Café at Redhouse Arts and Cultural Centre, which is situated in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association aimed to refurbish parts of Redhouse, which is based in the town’s Grade II listed Old Town Hall.
Polyflor’s wood effect Affinity255 PUR vinyl tile flooring was specified for installation in the Huckleberry Oak design; its rich hues and authentic grain detail appealed to the aesthetic of the JOL’s Café and gallery spaces.
Recently launched by Polyflor, the Affinity255 collection features 16 wood effect flooring designs, which have been developed for use in commercial environments where there is likely to be high levels of foot traffic.
The range features a cross linked and UV cured polyurethane reinforcement (PUR), making it particularly suited to dining areas, such as cafés, restaurants and bars. PUR protects the floor, whilst allowing for a simple cleaning regime.
Comprising an average of 40% recycled content, the vinyl tiles are completely recyclable via the Recofloor recycling scheme. The range has achieved a BRE A+ rating in major use areas and Indoor Air Comfort Gold, which proves that its VOC emissions are below any globally determined levels.
Designed with a 2mm gauge, Polyflor’s Affinity225 tiles can be fitted alongside other 2mm vinyl sheet products, including slip-resistant, homogeneous and heterogeneous safety flooring.
