To demonstrate the benefits of its Nexus suspended masonry soffit system, Ancon has developed a comprehensive brochure, supported by an online animation.
Deep brick-faced reveals and soffits are often specified by architects and designers to increase the depth of a building façade, whilst maintaining the colour and texture of the brick.
Supporting steelwork, such as Ancon’s soffit suspension, is integral to the achievement of this aesthetic. Ancon’s new brochure details four of its key solutions, which have been designed to create suspended masonry soffits on a vast variety of brick buildings.
Its recommended solution, Nexus, delivers a modular steel alternative to cast concrete soffits. Developed in conjunction with Ibstock, the lightweight system can be handled manually, eliminated the need for mechanical lifting equipment on site.
The system is available in a wide range of bonds, shapes and brick types, appealing to designers’ need for flexibility.
Ancon’s new animated video provides a step-by-step demonstration of a Nexus installation. It details the initial fixing of the support system, through to the bolting of the brick faced soffit unit.
Ancon also explains how the system can be adjusted and levelled in all three planes, to the final pointing of the brick slip face.
