Gemini has developed its Tinytag carbon dioxide data loggers to monitor ventilation systems and ensure that optimum indoor air quality is maintained.
Designed to work in conjunction with temperature and humidity loggers, Tinytag carbon dioxide data loggers can help to verify the performance of indoor heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
The loggers work by identifying build-ups in CO2 levels, which can indicate areas with inadequate ventilation. By monitoring these areas, poor air quality can be identified and prevented to ensure appropriate comfort levels are upheld in domestic and commercial properties.
According to UK Building Regulations, ventilation must be controllable so that a reasonable quality of indoor air can be maintained, and energy wastage can be avoided. BB101 specifies that ventilation should be provided in schools to limit the concentration of carbon dioxide in all teaching and learning spaces.
Tinytag CO2 data loggers offer a means of achieving this. The TGE-0010 can monitor up to 2,000ppm, whilst the TGE-0011 has been designed for more specialist applications. Both units work to a user-defined upper ppm limit; if this limit is reached, a flashing red LED will be activated.
