REHAU has reported record attendance at its most recent Passivhaus seminar, reflecting the construction industry’s desire to learn more about the standard.
The company believes that the success of its latest seminar is evidence of an increasing demand for information and advice on Passivhaus, from across the construction industry.
With the most recent RIBA Future Trends survey highlighting Passivhaus as an area demonstrating ‘particular potential’, it is unsurprising that the seminar received significant attention.

Around 100 people attended the event, which was hosted at the Siemens Crystal building in London’s Docklands.
Most of the delegates were architects and specifiers, who were keen to learn more about Passivhaus, its classifications and the products that have achieved certification.
An introductory presentation on Passivhaus principles was delivered by Roger Burton.
This was followed by a presentation on heating, cooling and thermal efficiency in Passivhaus building, from REHAU’s Tony Harbour and Kevin O’Neill. It placed an emphasis on certified products, such as REHAU’s AWADUKT Thermo ground-air heat exchanger and its Polytec 50 curtain walling system.
The Passivhaus Trust was present at the event, providing its support to REHAU. The company is the gold sponsor of the UK Passivhaus Conference, and the primary sponsor of the UK Passivhaus Awards
