A full range of composite doors from Permadoor are now available as BIM (Level 2) objects.
Permadoor has over 25 years experience in the affordable homes, new build and social housing markets.
Following the Government introducing mandatory BIM for all public sector projects in April 2016, Permadoor has become one of the first residential composite door manufacturers to make the commitment to BIM.
Permadoor marketing manager Alan Calverley commented how Building Information Modelling makes the selection process simpler.
He said: “Permadoor is unusual in being totally committed to the social and private housing sectors and especially in public housing there is increasing awareness and commitment to BIM, even if the overall uptake has been somewhat slow. Permadoor has the range, the experience and, as it proves with BIM, the commitment to the market.”
Permadoor is the UK’s number one supplier to the social housing sector. The company’s extensive experience includes working with local authorities, housing association registered providers and contractors on refurbishment and new build projects across the UK.
The latest Builders Merchant Building Index (BMBI) report shows builders’ merchants’ value sales in May were down -5.2% year-on-year.
