The recent Keymer event for the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) included Keymer’s RIBA approved CPD, a discussion surrounding production procedures and clay preparation and a talk on bricks and their uses in historic projects.
The Keymer CPD provided an insight into the history of Keymer’s handmade tiles, including where they are sourced from, the production process and how to use them effectively in construction.
The CPD guides architects on the specification of products for the heritage sector and the key considerations for the application of handmade tiles.
The event culminated in a factory tour, with guests invited to create their own Keymer tiles.
Christine Leadbeater, Business Development Manager at Keymer, commented: “We’re thrilled to have been able to host the SPAB at our Ewhurst site and deliver our Keymer CPD. We were extremely pleased with how the event went, and all the members that were present provided us with excellent feedback, so we’re delighted that they got plenty out of the day.”
