Brett Martin Plumbing and Drainage has launched a new video, demonstrating the installation of its Cascade Cast Iron Style Rainwater and Soil System.
The video follows the installation of Brett Martin’s Cascade Cast Iron Style Roundstyle 112mm Gutter and 68mm Round Downpipe. From cutting and fitting the product, to selecting the right tools to carry out the job, the video provides step-by-step installation guidance and advice.
By outlining and simplifying the installation process, Brett hopes to reduce guttering problems and the amount of call backs installers receive after fitting rainwater systems.
The Cascade range boasts a lighter composition than cast iron: as lifting and manoeuvring the system requires minimal effort, installation at height is less hazardous.
All gutter fitting joints have integral seals and flexible retaining clips, allowing the lengths to click into place. Whilst the system incorporates external fixing lugs for power tool access, additional fixing kits are not required to make the gutter joints.
Cascade offers heritage style: the gutters and downpipes feature architectural detailing and a choice of Bath, Ogee, Gothic or motiffed hopper designs and planters. Recently, Brett has introduced an Anthracite Grey colour option to complete its offering of domestic and industrial pipework profiles.
The three styles of domestic gutter – 106mm Profiled Ogee, 112mm Half Round and, for larger or steeper roofs, a 115mm Deep Profile – make use of 68mm round or 65mm square downpipes. A high capacity 160mm roundstyle gutter has been developed for use in commercial projects.
