Kinedo Horizon cubicles specified for contemporary conversion project

Saniflo’s Kinedo Horizon cubicles have been specified for a series of new apartments, which have been built inside an old office building to accommodate Peterborough’s growing population.

With the aim of converting it into living space for the developing town of Peterborough, GKL Developments acquired Varity House, a former office block and administration centre for Perkins Engines, last year.

The building now accommodates 97 two bedroom apartments, which have already been sold off-plan: this fast turn-around demonstrates the need to convert disused or older properties into living accommodation for Britain’s growing population.

GKL Developments specified Saniflo’s Kinedo Horizon cubicle for the new properties’ en-suite bathrooms. The 800 x 800 integrated cubicles complement the modern aesthetic of the apartments.

Developed to save on tiling, the cubicles eliminate dirty grout lines and the need to waterproof with silicone; the tray and interior glass panels have been designed to guarantee that there are no leaks.

Saniflo was on-hand to provide support throughout the installation. The technical team’s attentiveness impressed GKL; when one small item was delivered broken, an employee came out with an immediate replacement to ensure the project was not delayed.
