Kawneer launches superior assisted-opening window in joint venture with GEZE

  • 23 Jun 2016

The AA720 parallel opening window by Kawneer is now available with GEZE’s Slimchain window drive system, providing effective ventilation around the entire window perimeter without detriment to safety and security.

Kawneer’s AA720 window is proven to achieve u-values of 1.5 W/m2K for CEN sized windows with a warm edge spacer to offer high levels of natural ventilation and air exchange. The window features an 86mm clear opening restriction as standard.

The CE Marked assisted-opening window has been fully tested to the PAS 24:2012 enhanced security standard, in addition to BS 6375 Part 1 and 2 (weather and strength, respectively).

As part of a joint-venture between Kawneer and GEZE, the window system is now available with the Slimchain window drive.

Slimchain features a uniform, discreet design and Smart fix installation system. The adaptable system is capable of fulfilling completely diverse requirements relating to loads, upstroke lengths of up to 800mm, opening widths up to 1500mm wide and 2400mm high and a wide range of installation types.

Slimchain can be used on windows up to 400kg and its intelligent electronics allow continuously adjustable drive strokes and individual speeds.

The combined AA720 and Slimchain window system is backed with full support from Kawneer’s and GEZE’s technical, estimating and design teams.
