Filcoten Pave drainage system

Filcoten Pave drainage system enhances Gatic’s product offering

  • 29 Jun 2016

Gatic Civil Drainage has added a new surface water drainage system, Filcoten Pave, to its range of lightweight concrete channels.

Designed to suit concrete blocks or pavers up to 80mm in depth, the channel drain is suitable for domestic new builds and applications, such as paving, drives and patios. Its offset drainage slot features slotted tops and access units, manufactured from galvanised steel.

Despite its lightweight composition, Filcoten Pave is suitable for Load Classes A15 and B125 when tested to EN1433; it is also CE marked.

Filcoten range

In order to cover all Load Class applications, the Filcoten system is available in a further four ranges: Pro, Self, Tec and Green. Boasting a load bearing strength of 80-90 N/mm sq, the High Performance Concrete (HPC) system works without the use of chemical stabilisers, additives or releasing agents.

Testing has revealed that its flexural strength – or, its ability to resist deformation under loads – is approximately double that of conventional HPC products, which can often shatter under sudden shock loading.

Filcoten has been developed to flex under impacts and absorb shock. It can endure frost/thaw cycling, expanding and contracting at the same rate and resisting crack formation and water penetration.

The new Filcoten Pave system and its counterparts are available to purchase through builders’ merchants.
