Jet Cox has introduced full BIM capabilities for its comprehensive portfolio of rooflight solutions and smoke and heat ventilation systems.
Since its introduction to the industry, Building Information Modelling – commonly known as BIM – has revolutionised construction methods. Enabling design teams, contractors and clients to communicate via visual means, BIM technology offers reduced costs through increased efficiency and tighter control.
Following a call for an increase in computer-led design solutions from its employees, Jet Cox has made use of the technology. Whilst the introduction of BIM technology will strengthen its manufacturing processes and quality control, it also ensures the company meets the Government’s requirement for Level 2 compliance in order to tender for public projects.
Jet Cox’s complete range of rooflight and SHEV products – in both glass and plastic – are now BIM Level 2 compliant. 3D data objects can be accessed and downloaded on the company’s website, as well as the NBS National BIM Library
Each Jet Cox product has been tested to industry standards; the company operates with professional accreditations and ISO9001 – 2008.
