Novus Property Solutions will deliver decorating and painting contracts at the University of Glasgow, the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University, as part of its Building Fabric Collaboration project.
The company will work to renew and refresh the key buildings at each university over a four year period. Upgrades will include joinery, building works, glazing and window servicing and plumbing and heating works.
The painting and decorating component of the contracts is worth around £700,000 per year.
Novus will work alongside three contractors at the University of Glasgow. The university, which was founded in 1451, is considered to be the fourth oldest institution in the English speaking world; attention must be paid to maintaining the historic estate.
Having been founded in 1796, the University of Strathclyde also boasts a long history, whilst Glasgow Caledonian University is a slightly more contemporary institution.
Combined, the university estates comprise 400,000 square metres, with over 330 land and property assets. Assessed against key performance indicators, Novus will work to ensure a high quality of delivery, offering compliance with stringent health and safety standards.
