The Butterfly emerges in City of London

The City of London Corporation has given planning consent to proposals from Portsoken Investment to redevelop Lloyds Chambers into a 400,000 sq ft office and retail scheme named ‘The Butterfly’ by designers SPPARC Architecture

The Butterfly will more than double the size of the existing 193,450 sq ft Lloyds Chambers office building at 1 Portsoken Street, London and include almost 35,000 sq ft of retail space. It will be completed by 2021

Portsoken Advisers co-director Mike Ryan (quoted in Construction News): “The Butterfly, with its beautiful and highly efficient design, will offer office space to meet the needs of the modern occupier, increasing the building’s current floor capacity while transforming the streetscape in this part of London.”
