Contemporary glass MSW system installed at Birmingham Bentley dealership

  • 18 Aug 2016

A luxury car dealership in Birmingham has installed an eight panel Manual Sliding Wall (MSW) system developed by GEZE to define the Bentley and Lamborghini areas of its showroom.

Spanning seven metres in width and three metres in height, the seamless space divider contains no metal surrounds and separates the two sales areas at Bentley Sytner.

The MSW, specified by Glassedge, is fitted with 12mm clear, low iron toughened glass to minimise sun reflection and features a silver anodised profile with a modern angled design.

Each panel is fixed into place by a discrete floor locking device, and can be pulled back via a recessed roller track fitted to the ceiling for when the wall is not needed. The roller track utilises a SmartGuide system to enhance functionality and, once retracted, the wall is stored inside a wall cupboard to save space.

The MSW also incorporates a glass swing door with a polished stainless steel handle which makes the two areas accessible to customers and staff without interrupting the fluidity of the glazing.

Chris Beckett, managing director of Glassedge, commented that the Manual Sliding Wall (MSW) was very easy to install and that the wall panels required minimal effort to move once the system was in place.

“Glassedge will most definitely be using the GEZE MSW range again as our company is very confident in the products’ quality, robustness of the materials used, plus the excellent personal service we received from both GEZE UK’s sales and technical support staff.”
