Wraptite-SA membrane is a BBA-certified self-adhering vapour permeable air barrier.

Popularised in South Korea, Wikihouse is an open-source project that aims to simplify the construction of sustainable resource-light dwellings.

The Dalmarnock project, funded by the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University, endeavours to promote digital fabrication and community engagement within construction, with BAM Construction as a project partner.

The timber frame building will form an indoor play area for the children when the weather prohibits them from playing outside. The A. Proctor Group has donated its Wraptite-SA airtight membrane to the project to ensure that the Wikihouse could be made weathertight and provide breathable water resistant protection, thereby avoiding any interstitial condensation problems that might arise.

Wraptite-SA will also make a significant contribution to the building’s thermal performance by preventing lateral air movement.

The BSAP is a supervised adventure playground which offers children the choice of what to do, including the day-to-day management and development of the site. Specially trained play workers are on-site to keep the children safe, cook food on the campfire and support them to pursue their own play and activities.
