Advanced has developed a new infographic to outline EN54-13, the European standard for fire system performance.
Designed to ensure optimum fire system performance on a permanent basis, EN54-13 offers peace of mind for installers, specifiers and end-users.
The standard is currently mandatory in several European countries: it involves extensive third party testing to verify that separate component parts will co-operate when combined into one comprehensive fire system.
Unfortunately, the standard is frequently misunderstood and misrepresented. To ensure that everyone can check compliance, Advanced has developed a new infographic and wall chart, which outline the essentials of EN54-13.
The infographic explains how approved systems are tested for compatibility and continuously checked for faults. EN54-13 guarantees that these systems are able to protect lives in real fire situations, bringing ultimate peace of mind.
Furthermore, the infographic discusses the differences between ‘Designed to’ and ‘Approved to’, and explains how specifiers can save money by opting for approved panels.
The infographic can be downloaded via Advanced’s website. Alternatively, a print copy can be ordered here
