The Glass and Glazing Federation’s Chief Executive, Nigel Rees, has announced that he will retire at the end of the year.
Nigel has captained the GGF for the past 15 years; he has seen the Federation progress from a stand-alone Trade organisation to a Group of prosperous, commercial companies.
Under his leadership, the trade body has experienced continued growth and stability.
In the last year, the GGF has undertaken a number of changes, including an internal restructure and new governance. The Federation will now operate as an objective entity, focusing on supporting the GGF Membership, whilst its six subsidiary companies will work under one corporate umbrella.
Despite these changes, the subsidiaries will remain wholly owned by the GGF: they will continue to support the Federation financially through new and existing markets.
“With the planned changes now starting, and with the Group moving to new premises, I feel the time is right for new ideas and a fresh management approach,” comments Nigel.
Following Nigel’s announcement, the GGF Board of Directors will start a recruitment process to find a new Chief Executive, capable of guiding the Federation through the changes and challenges ahead.
