Skyline Wall Coping systems have been specified for use in Barratt London’s latest housing development, Queensland Terrace.
Located in London’s budding borough of Islington, Queensland Terrace comprises three tower blocks: each building accommodates a selection of one, two and three bed residences and studio apartments, with views towards Canary Wharf and the Emirates Stadium.
Alumasc’s Skyline Wall Coping system was specified to finish the towers, while providing protection against water ingress. It was fitted by M Price, in conjunction with the project’s designer, CZWG Architects.
Whilst Skyline is available in several standard widths, its flexible composition enables the creation of bespoke designs for individual projects. Its smooth fittings are welded, whilst its linear modules are fixed by internal brackets.
For the Queensland Terrace development, a coping profile was commissioned to complement the curved architecture of the building. More than 1,200 linear metres of 3mm aluminium Skyline coping was installed to every balcony and along the top of the walls. The colour of the coping was chosen carefully, to ensure that it blended in with its multi-coloured façade.
The Queensland Terrace development is scheduled for completion by June 2015.
