When choosing products to use in wetrooms, specifiers should aim to select an integrated, CE Marked waterproofing system. Schlüter-Systems has recently updated its a linear drainage system, Schlüter-KERDI-LINE, to provide a comprehensive solution for floor-level shower installations.
The Schlüter-KERDI-SHOWER incorporates prefabricated levelling and shower tray components to ensure the tile or stone covering in the shower area can be sloped to allow for efficient drainage.
The system can be installed in conjunction with Schlüter’s linear drainage system, KERDI-LINE.
As a component linear drainage system, Schlüter-KERDI-LINE has been designed for the construction of floor-level showers, with natural stone or ceramic tile coverings.
The system has a formed channel body, manufactured from stainless steel, with a grate and frame structure that can be adjusted from 3mm to 25mm, to suit the thickness of the covering.
Schlüter has recently updated the system to include a constant 50mm water seal; it now offers full compliance with BS EN 1253 and meets the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) flow requirements.
The Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-V 50 G2 offers a vertical alternative; the horizontal drainage system is Schlüter-KERDI-LINE-H 50 G2.
Earlier this year, Schlüter introduced its Approved Installer Network, which enables those who have completed full training with the company to install its comprehensive WETROOM system.
The network accredits the installer as an expert, offering reassurance to architects and specifiers that the system will be fitted to the manufacturer’s standards and best practice.
