Gilberts of Blackpool has shipped more than 1,000 of its aluminium floor grilles to Hong Kong, for use in a new data centre.
Manufactured from extruded aluminium, Gilberts’ floor grilles have been designed as a substitute for floor tiles. The internal bars are set on an even, 13mm pitch to prevent heel penetration; the bars can be removed to provide access for cabling and utility services below.
The grilles are available in medium or extra heavy grade, depending on static loading. They are supplied in a mill finish as standard. A brush effect, shadowline finish, or nylon colour coating can be added upon request.
Gilberts supplied a large quantity of grilles at 600mm x 600mm for use in the Hong Kong development. When the grilles arrived, the clients requested a different damper design; the company was able to accommodate this through its in-house manufacturing facility.
Gilberts’ aluminium floor grilles form part of its comprehensive range of grilles, louvres and diffusers.
The systems work to distribute air around buildings without draughts. For the past five decades, the company has produced air movement systems at its Blackpool-based manufacturing facility.
