Protan’s Managing Director, Fraser Maitland, has been appointed to the Single Ply Roofing Association’s (SPRA) industry board.

Fraser has been involved in the textiles industry for his entire working life: he has ten years’ experience in polymer roofing, which is supplemented by five years of managing Protan’s development of industrial textiles to the construction industry and beyond.

Joining SPRA

Protan is one of the largest manufacturers of thermoplastic roofing membranes in the world, operating five plants across Europe. Fraser will represent the company on SPRA’s industry board.

“I hope to raise the profile of PVC roofing membranes within the industry,” comments Fraser. “This is an exciting time for single ply roofing: we have great opportunities to grow our business and encourage diverse thinking in design and construction of the fifth façade.”
