Slip-resistant Heronrib matting has been arranged around several pools at Santander’s Marisma Wellness Centre.
The matting, which is manufactured by Plastex in the UK and America, was recommended for installation by the company’s Spanish distributor, Decoplastics.
170 metres of PVC walkways were supplied in 10 metre rolls, to ensure safe access to the pools. To minimise disruption throughout the centre, the Heronrib matting was laid overnight; the wellness facilities were open for business, as usual, at 6am the following morning.
Heronrib matting benefits from an open grid construction with channelled underbars, which enable additional drainage. Anti-microbial and anti-fungal additives have been included to maintain a consistent level of hygiene.
The matting boasts an embossed surface, which has been designed for barefoot comfort and enhanced slip-resistance. It has achieved Class C certification – the highest rating of slip-resistance given on DIN 51097.
Heronrib matting is offered in several standard shades – Charcoal Grey, Mulberry Red, Ocean Blue, Forest Green and Oxford Blue – with other colours available on request.
