IKO PLC has confirmed the acquisition of Pure Asphalt Company Limited following regulatory clearance. The Bolton based business will now be fully integrated into IKO.
IKO aims to bring the Pure Asphalt production line in line with the same environmental standards as the company’s other UK plants in Chesterfield, Matlock and Wigan.
Its mastic asphalt products for roofing, tanking and highways are all manufactured in the UK under ISO 14001 for environmental management and BES 6001 for responsible sourcing of construction products.
IKO UK Group Managing Director Andy Williamson (pictured above) assured that “a high standard of service will be maintained for Pure Asphalt Company customers, who will benefit from IKO’s additional all-round service and project support.”
Mazars LLP provided financial due diligence to IKO PLC for the acquisition, whilst Weightmans LLP provided legal advice.
